The Skagway Fire Department provides Basic and Advanced Life Support services utilizing providers from all EMS levels: Emergency Trauma Technicians, EMT-1s, EMT-2s, EMT3s, and Paramedics. The SFD also transports patients to the airport from the Dahl Memorial Clinic and from the cruise ships to meet with one of our many medevac partners at the airport.

Medevac Subscriptions:

The Skagway Fire Department Ambulance Subscription will only cover portions of a transport by the SFD. In the event that a patient needs to be medevac’d to a higher level of care, it is recommended to have a subscription to one or more of our medevac partners that service Skagway.

In the event that weather or availability prevents one of the medevac services from responding, the US Coast Guard will be requested.
